Just because their faces are in the side of a mountain certainly doesn’t make them perfect. Personal flaws aside, Mount Rushmore is a really cool monument.  It’s ambitious and interesting even if there is a good amount of controversy behind it.  Honestly, I’m more excited by the Crazy Horse monument.  I think it’s going to be more dynamic and aesthetically badass.  Hopefully it’s finished in my lifetime.  I’d love to see it in person.

On a side note…  Those of you familiar with my work before Peppermint Helmet know I did a story comic called Tripp.  I’m in the process of developing/writing my next longform comic at the moment and just thought I’d throw an update your way.  I have about 10 pages written and a rapidly-filling sketchbook of characters and ideas.  Here’s an early-in-the-process look at my protagonist.  I’ll keep you posted on how things are going.

You won’t be immortalized in the side of a mountain if you like Peppermint Helmet on Facebook or vote for it at Topwebcomics but you’ll have a statue in my heart.

By the way, PH cracked the top 200 at Topwebcomics in it’s first full month!  Thanks guys!  There’s a new vote incentive up for April, another bonus comic!  Let’s get the Helmet on the front page!

Today’s Peppermint Helmet song of the day:
